Ramune Petuchovaite, EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme Manager, will participate in the 16th annual Internet Governance Forum (IGF) - a global forum that brings together stakeholders from government, industry and civil society to discuss public policy issues relating to the internet governance. Under the overarching theme, ‘Internet United’, the IGF is hosted by Poland and takes place in hybrid mode, in Katowice and online.

EIFL and IFLA (the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) will lead a Dynamic Coalition on Public Access in Libraries (DC-PAL) round-table discussion focused on universal access to the internet and meaningful connectivity. During this session, a working draft paper titled, ‘Impacts of Public Access in Libraries’, on the impacts and benefits of public access to computers and the internet in libraries will be presented for input and feedback.

Petuchovaite will also speak at an informal learning and exchange meeting on the topic, ‘Libraries Helping Build a People-Centred Internet: Connectivity, Content and Competence’, organized by IFLA and the Silesian Library in Katowice -
