EIFL Open Access Programme Manager Iryna Kuchma will give presentations and advice during a Research Output Management Training workshop for research and open access (OA) repository managers from four Palestinian universities taking part in the ROMOR Project.

ROMOR, short for ‘Research Output Management through OA Institutional Repositories in Palestinian Higher Education Institutions’, aims to improve visibility of research conducted at Al-Quds Open University, Birzeit University, Islamic University of Gaza and Palestine Technical University - Kadoorie.

Workshop participants will evaluate the current state of research services and infrastructure at the four universities, and develop the skills needed for ongoing measurement of the visibility, impact and re-use of Palestinian higher education research outputs. Training will include policies for managing research; practical steps to make sure that OA repositories are populated with research; ongoing repository management and maintenance; sustainability planning and repository recovery in case of disaster.
