
We have renewed our agreement with the Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing for three years, until 2028. For the first time, the EIFL-IOP agreement includes free or discounted Article Processing Charges (APCs) for publishing in open access in IOP hybrid journals in addition to free or discounted read access to the IOPscience Extra package.
ACCESS TO READ
EIFL has negotiated free access to the IOPscience Extra package for 19 EIFL partner countries, and discounted access for nine EIFL partner countries.
The IOPscience Extra package includes 130 peer-reviewed journals in the field of physics and related subjects - materials science, biosciences, astronomy and astrophysics, environmental sciences, mathematics, and interdisciplinary sciences.
The agreement is open to libraries and library consortia in the following countries:
- Albania, Armenia, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Estonia, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, Ghana, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Malawi, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, North Macedonia, Palestine, Senegal, Serbia, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe
PUBLISHING IN OPEN ACCESS
The agreement includes waivers of APCs for corresponding authors from seven EIFL partner countries and discounts on APCs for corresponding authors from nine EIFL partner countries.
Corresponding authors from the following 16 EIFL partner countries can benefit when publishing in IOP’s 65 hybrid journals.
- Congo DR, Ethiopia, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Malawi, Myanmar, Nepal, Palestine, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
