On the occasion of World Book and Copyright Day, an annual event marked by UNESCO, a national seminar to discuss wide-ranging copyright issues is being organized by the State Library of Ukraine for Youth.

Topics include an introduction to copyright, book digitization, problems with copyright and e-books, and a presentation on e-resources available in the Library. Iryna Kuchma, EIFL's Programme Manager on Open Access, will turn her hand to copyright for the day with a presentation on the role of libraries in promoting a fair copyright system. Oleksii Vasyliev, EIFL Copyright and Libraries Coordinator in Ukraine, will speak about copyright issues central to library activities and services in Ukraine.
