EIFL Open Access Programme manager Iryna Kuchma will attend the 2AM: Amsterdam 2015 conference to learn more about standards in altmetrics; altmetrics in the library; science outreach and altmetrics as indicators of economic and social impact; altmetrics and open science, and altmetrics and research evaluation.

Promoting new open metrics for research assessment and evaluation of the impact of research will be one of the EIFL Open Access Programme activities in 2016-2017.

We plan to -

• Collect good practice examples of using new open metrics for research assessment and evaluation from EIFL partner countries;
• Organize discussion on the benefits and limitations of the metrics (traditional and new) and collect recommendations on what is needed to have good reliability (consistency) and validity of new open metrics.
• Organize webinars and other knowledge-sharing activities for researchers, research managers and librarians who would like to learn more about new open metrics.
