The Myanmar Education, Research and Learning Portal (MERAL) Agreement on Collaboration is to be signed at a special ceremony in Yangon. Rima Kupryte, EIFL Director, Dr Thein Win, Director General of the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of Myanmar, Professor Dr Zaw Wai Soe, Chair of the Myanmar Rectors’ Committee, and Professor Dr Kazutsuna Yamaji, Director of the Research Center for Open Science and Data Platform, National Institute of Informatics (NII), Japan, will take part in the ceremony. 

The MERAL Portal is a project of the Rectors’ Committee, National Education Policy Commission, Department of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, with support from EIFL and the NII. The portal provides free and open access to research publications and to teaching and learning materials from universities in Myanmar.
