ABOUT THE RESOURCE
Persistent identifiers (PIDs) – for individuals (ORCID iDs), research outputs (Crossref and Datacite DOIs) and organizations (RORs) – are foundational elements in the research information infrastructure. They enable transparent and trustworthy connections and their wider adoption can lead to improved access to information and increased trust in scholarship and research.
In this introductory LIBSENSE webinar (about 45 minutes) Gabriela Mejias (ORCID’s Engagement Manager), Rachael Lammey (Crossref’s Head of Community Outreach) and Helena Cousijn (DataCite’s Director of Community Engagement) talk about ORCID, DOIs and ROR and how they contribute to the FAIRization of data (FAIR: Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable). EIFL is a partner in the LIBSENSE Initiative.
