Niamh Brennan, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, will talk about training on different types of research impact metrics that can be applied to various forms of scholarship; common tools for gathering research impact metrics and qualitative evidence for public scholarship; appropriate uses and limitations of citation metrics and altmetrics, and developing a strategy for gathering evidence of impact. She will also discuss the importance of research impact metrics for public scholarship and give examples of how the library can support researchers and students in gathering metrics.
