Iryna Kuchma, EIFL Open Access Programme Manager, will moderate a session at the APAN53 Virtual Meeting and Conference, which addresses a wide range of topics related to networking and IT in the support of research and education in the Asia-Pacific region.
The conference takes place from 7 - 11 March, with numerous sessions running daily from 9am - 5pm (Japan time / UTC+9). It is free and open to anyone to attend. Sessions will be livestreamed.
The session that Kuchma will moderate is titled 'OSDWG: Enabling Research through Open Science and Open Data'. It takes place on Wednesday, 9 March, from 9 - 10.30am (Japan time / UTC+9). The session is co-organized by the OSDWG (Open and Sharing Data Working Group) and COAR Asia OA. Participants will explore different strategies and actions to implement the UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science in disciplinary, regional, national and institutional contexts in the Asia Pacific region, and to build the Asia-Pacific Open Data Commons.
