EIFL’s partners in the ‘Digital skills and inclusion through libraries in Uganda’ project will participate in a panel during the Uganda Internet Governance Forum (UIGF) 2022. The UIGF brings together public, private and civil society stakeholders in internet policy issues in Uganda.
During a two-hour panel discussion titled, ‘Bridging the digital divide through a network of public and community libraries in Uganda’, EIFL’s partners will present good practices and learnings from the project. On the panel are representatives of EIFL's partners, Esther Kyazike, Kawempe Youth Centre Community Library (moderator); Adonia Katungisa, National Library of Uganda; Asia Kamukama, Maendeleo Foundation, and Mercy Akia of Soroti Public Library. Christine Semogerere Nakiganda participates on behalf of the Uganda Communications Commission.
The 'Digital skills and inclusion through libraries in Uganda' project is supported by the Wehubit Programme implemented by the Belgian development agency, Enabel.
