Over 1,430 senior citizens attended 18 healthy lifestyle events organized by Kaunas County Public Library and three municipal libraries in Kaunas in less than a year (2011/12). The events included yoga, exercise, relaxation and meditation classes and lectures on alternative remedies. The BiblioHealth service also provides free access to computer literacy and internet research training for the over 60s. An online BiblioHealth resource includes useful links to health information, web-portals, e-government health services, clinics, hospital websites and other websites promoting healthy lifestyles.

The service was initiated with support from the EIFL Public Library Innovation Programme (EIFL-PLIP) in 2011. The case is based on impact assessment conducted by library in 2012.
