EIFL has renewed its agreement with SAGE Publishing for access to and publishing in SAGE journals for a further three years, until December 2025.

Libraries in 10 EIFL countries can get free access to the SAGE Premier collection of over 935 leading international peer-reviewed journals.

Discounted access

Libraries in 13 countries are eligible for discounted access to the SAGE Premier collection:

Albania, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Moldova, North Macedonia, Palestine, Serbia, Slovenia, Uzbekistan

Read & publish 

Libraries in six countries are able to benefit from the read and publish offer.
Institutions in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovenia that sign the read and publish agreement, will have access to subscribed SAGE Premier collection, free open access publishing in Sage Choice hybrid journals within a subscribed collection, and 20% discount on APCs in any participating Gold open access journal.

Institutions in Palestine and Serbia that sign the read and publish agreement, will have access to subscribed SAGE Premier collection and free publishing in Sage Choice hybrid journals within a subscribed collection, and any participating Gold open access journal.

Waived Article Processing Charges

The agreement also ensures waived APCs for corresponding authors from 32 EIFL partner countries when publishing in SAGE’s fully open access (Gold) journals:

Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Botswana, Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Fiji, Georgia, Ghana, Kenya, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lesotho, Maldives, Malawi, Myanmar, Moldova, Namibia, North Macedonia, Nepal, Palestine, Senegal, Serbia, Sudan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Corresponding authors from four EIFL countries also also eligible to receive a 20% discount on APCs when publishing in SAGE’s fully open access (Gold) journals, provided that their affiliated institutions have an existing subscription in place:
