We have updated and revised How To Make Your DSpace Repository Work Really Well, the EIFL checklist that repository managers and administrators, librarians and others can use to improve institutional open access (OA) repositories that use DSpace free and open source software.
DSpace is the most commonly used repository software in EIFL partner countries.
This is the fourth revision of the Checklist. We include new recommendations on how to improve discoverability of documents in repositories; on how to ensure that a repository is discoverable, and on how to write an OA repository policy. There are also new sections on standardized approaches to metadata and on how to license repositories.
We have also updated suggestions and good practices in setting up and running OA repositories with DSpace and provide new links to useful guides, resources and software.
